Banda de Montbeliard,Paris. Partieron tocando Psychobilly-Punkabilly, han tenido variadas presentaciones a lo largo de Francia, España, Bélgica, Holanda, Alemania, Suiza y EE.UU.
Lo que determinaria su cambio de Punkabilly a algo diferente seria la muerte de su contrabajista Nico, despues de un periodo de dudas e incertidumbre optaron por continuar la aventura con un bajista quien seria Nasty Samy, lanzarian su tercer albúm "Unleashed'n'Alive" en honor a Nico cuyo nombre y memoria siempre estará ligada a la banda.
Hoy en dia se podria clasificar a Hellbats como una banda con variados cortes musicales como por ejemplo: Horror Punk, Rock and Roll, Heavy Rock, Metal, algo mas generalizado "Horror Rock" bastante pesado.
PD: Como opcion personal prefiero a Hellbats en sus dos ultimos disco (Unleashed'n'Alive - One Minute Suicide), que es desde donde se produce el cambio, aunque sus disco anteriores tambien me gustan, pero bueno es solo cosa de gustos.
